In your selected race you should see two to three of the animals with virtually no chance of winning. This means that the smart punter can bet the second or third in the betting each way with a strong chance of success.

If we take an example race with odds as follow: 6/4, 4/1, 5/1, 8/1, 10/1, 14/1, 25/1, 50/1. Statistics show that the favourite has a 30-40% chance of winning the race while two of the animals will have little or no hope of a win.

The result is that the animals rated at 4/1 and 5/1 odds have a better chance of being placed in the first three than the odds suggest. Over time, a disproportionate rate of win can be secured and enjoyed.
