The Epsom Derby held in early June is still one of the worlds most famous races. The winner of this race needs to be able to stay 1.5 miles so look for horses that have previously run well over distances close to 12 furlongs.

Stick to established Jockeys, it's too big an occasion and only big time riders win. Avoid fillies, they are allowed to run but never win. If the winner of the 2,000 Guineas is present, be cautious, previous statistics show poor results.
